Don't expect personal attention when needed

Recently, my credit card was compromised and fraudulent charges were made on my card. I expected that the replacement credit card would show up in a few days at most. Allowed an unethical merchant to steal my money!

I've been mostly happy with Chase until I needed them today. A completely unethical merchant overcharged my card and even though I had the correct prices IN WRITING, Chase said they could not do anything simply because the merchant got away with it. YES, that's right... if an unethical ... expand link to Read more about this review merchant overcharges you and you point out that it's the wrong amount but the merchant refuses to correct it, then Chase will stand by the merchant and simply tell you that "prices can change". This makes this card a very dangerous one to use for travel because it allows travel providers to overcharge you and get away with it. My favorite everyday card!

This is a great card to use whenever you don't have another card with extra bonus point offers. It's accepted just about everywhere since it is Visa!

200 dollars for spending 500 dollars is a fantastic incentive, but I think the everyday cash back rates could be better (5 percent on gas would be nice--they offer that on their Freedom card), but 1 and a half percent isn't bad. Love my card to help out after being laid off due to Covid. Helps me keep up with bills at no interest.

I like my card, but...

Getting the rewards offer is difficult and customer support on the phone or in the bank is very weak. I have been trying for two weeks with no results. Training for staff to help customers should be stepped up.

At the first everyone tell me chase not good, I said let me try it, and GOD bless me I get this credit card, easy and fast to use, never get problem with it, now I'm waiting ot will come 10000 now, because I want to get only this credit card One love 4 you chase.

Is Chase in trouble?

My payment record is absolutely perfect and always has been. Many years ago (probably 20 years) Chase raised my credit limit to a very high limit. I called and asked to have it lowered. You do not have to use it but just let it stay. Well 30 days ago, I was notified that since I was not using all of the credit, they were cutting it in half. And yes, thank you Chase, it did effect the credit rating. My rating is excellent and still is but it is the principle of this.
