  • How can I apply or upgrade to the new Marriott Premier Plus Card?

  • You can apply for the new Premier Plus Card at www.marriottpremierplus.com. If you already have the Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card or have received a new account bonus for the card in the last 24 months then you are not eligible for the Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Card. There is no guarantee that you will be approved for the new card.

    Existing cardmembers can request to upgrade to the Premier Plus Card at MarriottRewards.com/Upgrade.

  • How much is the annual fee on the new Marriott Rewards Premier Plus card?

  • The new Marriott Rewards Premier Plus credit card will have an annual fee of $95.00 Same page link to Footnotes2, just $10.00 more than the current Marriott Rewards Premier card.

  • Does the new $95 annual fee start when I upgrade?

  • Yes, your annual fee will increase to $95 per year.

  • I already have a Free Night Certificate from a Marriott Rewards credit card. Can I use it at an SPG hotel (or vice versa) after August?

  • Redemption in August will include participating Marriott, SPG, and Ritz-Carlton hotels, increasing the redemptions options for cardmembers. Members may book a redemption reservation with an existing Free Night Certificate under the current terms up until August 2018, even if the arrival date is after August 2018. In August, any outstanding Free Night Certificates will be updated from Category-based to points-based values in the new combined redemption chart up to the following points values:

    Marriott Rewards Premier Cardmembers receive a Free Night Certificate for categories 1-5 hotels, which is valued at 25,000 Marriott Rewards points in the current structure. In August, the certificate will continue to have a points-based value of 25,000 points Same page link to Footnotes3.

    Marriott Rewards Signature Cardmembers receive a Free Night Certificate each year after $25,000 in spend for category 1-4 hotels, which is valued at 20,000 Marriott Rewards points in the current structure. In August, the certificate will continue to have a points-based value of 20,000 points Same page link to Footnotes4.

    Ritz-Carlton Cardmembers and Marriott Rewards Premier Business cardmembers: There are exciting updates coming in August that will be announced in July.

  • When will I get my Annual Free Night Award?

  • You will receive your Annual Free Night Award at the beginning of your Anniversary year. Anniversary year means the year beginning with your account open date through the first statement date after your account open date anniversary and the 12 monthly billing cycles after that each year.

    Please note that if you are completing the upgrade to the new Marriott Rewards Premier Plus credit card, you may have a change in the month you receive your annual Free Night Award going forward Same page link to Footnotes5.

  • When will my 15 Elite Credits be in my account if I upgrade to the Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card?

  • Starting in 2019, you will receive a maximum of 15 Elite Night credits per year, regardless of the number of Marriott, Starwood Preferred Guest and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards credit card products you have. These will be credited into one of your Marriott Loyalty Program accounts on or before March 1 annually Same page link to Footnotes6.

  • I have a Ritz-Carlton Rewards credit card. Can I change to the new Marriott Rewards Premier Plus card?

  • Yes, you are able to request to switch to the new card as long as your existing account is open, not in default, and you continue to meet our credit criteria. For more information, call the number on the back of your card.

  • I would like to close my current Marriott credit card so that I can open an account with the new card

  • If you close your existing card there is no guarantee that you will be approved for the new card. If you already have the Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card or have received a new account bonus for the card in the last 24 months then you are not eligible to apply for the Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Card.
