Cardmembers were treated to an extraordinary gastronomic experience that took place in Union Market, a 200-year-old culinary landmark boasting the best craft foods the District has to offer.
After a short trolley tour en route to the marketplace, guests were greeted with a private cocktail reception hosted by acclaimed chef Mike Isabella. A special cooking demonstration led by the chef followed, as he created some of his innovative twists on old-world classics using the freshest ingredients found throughout the market. Afterward, guests savored a multi-course, custom menu with beer pairings from DC Brau — the first brewery since 1956 to operate in DC.
Cardmembers were then free to explore the block-long gourmet emporium after it closed to the public. With exclusive access to its unique purveyors, guests were able to sip on specialty cocktails and sample decadent desserts without the customary long lines.
Guests stayed at the vibrant downtown Marriott Marquis Washington, DC, just steps away from world-class restaurants and the city’s best nightlife attractions.
