You will earn 5 points for each $1 of Net Purchases at Marriott® locations. For where you can earn under the Marriott Rewards Program, please visit MarriottRewards.com. You will earn 2 points for each $1 of Net Purchases made in any of the following categories: car rental agencies; airline tickets – when purchased directly with the airline; restaurants; office supply stores; internet, cable, and phone services. ("Net Purchases" are purchases of goods and services made by you or any authorized user on your Account minus any returns or refunds, and do not include balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like charges such as travelers checks, foreign currency, and money orders, any checks that access your Account, overdraft advances, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable.) Merchants who accept Visa/MasterCard credit cards are assigned a merchant code which is determined by the merchant or its processor in accordance with Visa/MasterCard procedures based on the kinds of products and services they primarily sell. Chase groups similar merchant codes into categories for purposes of making rewards offers to you. Chase makes every effort to include all relevant merchant codes in its rewards categories. However, even though a merchant or some of the items that it sells may appear to fit within a rewards category, the merchant may not have a merchant code that falls within that category. Therefore, purchases with that merchant will not qualify for the stated rewards offer on category purchases. Purchases submitted by you or the merchant through third-party payment accounts (e.g. PayPal), mobile or wireless card readers, online or mobile digital wallets, or similar technology (collectively, "Technology") will not qualify in a rewards category if the Technology is not set up to process the purchase in the rewards category. POINTS DON'T EXPIRE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Your points will not expire as long as you remain an active member in the Marriott Rewards Program. You remain active by doing one or more of the following during any 24-month period: (a) have an eligible stay at a participating property; (b) earn Rewards Points by using a Marriott Rewards Visa Credit Card for purchases (note that paying the credit card annual membership fee is not considered purchase activity); or (c) otherwise earn Rewards Points or miles through the Marriott Rewards Program. If you do not remain an active member, then Marriott Rewards reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to close your Marriott Rewards account without notice to you. In the event your Marriott Rewards account is closed, all unredeemed points in your Marriott Rewards account will be forfeited.
Annual free night stay
Please allow 6 to 8 weeks from your account anniversary date for your Anniversary Free Night Stay E-Certificate to be automatically deposited into your Marriott Rewards Account. Anniversary Free Night Stay E-Certificate is valid for hotels in categories 1-5. For participating category 1-5 locations, log on to MarriottRewards.com or call 1-800-321-7396. All E-Certificates issued prior to 4/25/15 will have an expiration of 6 months and all E-Certificates issued on or after 4/25/15 will have an expiration of 12 months. E-Certificates may not be transferred, extended beyond the expiration date, or re-credited for points. Redeeming points for free nights
Marriott Rewards points needed for a standard reward free night range from 7,500 points for Category 1 hotels to 45,000 points for Category 9 hotels. Refer to MarriottRewards.com for all reward redemption values.
Receive 15 credits
Please allow 6 to 8 weeks from account open date and account anniversary date every year for the 15 nights to be credited to your Marriott Rewards® account. To qualify for the anniversary 15 nights Elite status credit, your account must be open and not in default on your account anniversary date and you must be a member in good standing with the Marriott Rewards program. Only one Marriott Rewards Credit Card account per Rewards member (Rewards member must be the primary cardmember on that account) is eligible for the 15 Nights Elite credit award. You will earn 1 Elite night credit for each $3,000 in Net Purchases.
